Gut Philosophy
Elena came to me on the cusp of qualifying as a registered nutritional therapist. She was looking to found a company that helped her connect with people dealing with the same health issues she had faced. Before her studies, she was an investment professional working long hours in a highly pressured environment; this busy lifestyle caused her frequent respiratory infections. After childbirth, the infections worsened, which caused constant complications! When she started her nutrition studies, she linked all her health issues back to her gut and nutrition.
She founded Gut Philosophy with a desire to educate people about gut health and empower them to take action towards achieving their optimal wellbeing. She was adamant about it being science-based as opposed to just a lifestyle blog! So the brief was to make something that was clean and clinical while still maintaining a friendly, accessible look.
The g was curved into an intestinal shape to instantly reinforced the word gut, as well as provide a tailored letter that was able to be used as an individual icon. Irregular but clean edges were introduced into the branding to help provide more playful frames for content and soften the seriousness.
